Wink Dimsdale - Camp Bartlett Master of Ceremonies
Wink is from a small, wooded, midwestern community where he lives with his mother, Ruth. For years, he has tried to get into Broadway to make his mark, but with limited means he is only able to submit VHS tapes of his work (mostly filmed at home) to the head honchos in New York. His interpretations of classic Broadway hits are something to be seen, for the sheer fact that he has to act every "part" and his living room has to become the "set" for each scene. When Wink was 40, his mother insisted he gain employment to help her with the bills, so became gainfully employed as a cook, flipping burgers at Hagar's Fat House. After a few weeks of unmanageable greasy hair and countless pimples, Wink decided that Hagar's was not for him. He later applied for a summer job as the emcee at Camp Bartlett and, since no other applications were submitted, he got the job. He's theatre all the way, a faux thespian. His attire in the Show is standard 70s game show host and his idol is Richard Dawson. When he is not performing, Wink is in black pants and a shirt with a gray scarf. He is great on stage and brings an element of surprise to the Show.
